2048 Tips & Strategy
The best 2048 strategy starts with picking a corner. Keep your highest tile locked in one corner and build a chain of descending values along the edge. Avoid pushing tiles in the direction opposite to your corner — this breaks the chain and makes recovery difficult.
In timed mode, speed matters more than perfection. Focus on fast merges rather than optimal positioning. On larger boards (5×5, 6×6), you have more room to maneuver, so you can take more risks with tile placement.
Save your undos for critical moments — typically when your highest tile gets pushed out of the corner. And watch for combo opportunities: consecutive merges multiply your score up to 5x.
